Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Gaia removable and portable pole dance poles?

Both models are pressure-installed, with no need to bolt them to the floor or ceiling. Removable poles are made of two sections, custom-made to the required height, and have a 10 cm upward installation adjustment. Portable poles consist of 7 sections and can be installed at any height between 2 m and 3 m (or up to 3.4 m with an additional extension purchased separately).

Can I install a pole on a plaster ceiling?

All poles must be installed between two rigid surfaces, which is not the case with plaster ceilings. In this situation, you can safely install your pole by using a structural solution. You can use the plaster ceiling extension or wall-mounted solutions, such as the wall-to-wall support or the V-shaped structure.

I already have a pole but moved to a new place. Can I change the height of my pole?

If your pole is a pressure-installed, two-piece model, yes! You just need to purchase the height adjuster according to the installation type of your pole.

Can I install any type of pole dance pole on the V-shaped structure?

No. Only bolted pole dance poles can be installed on the V-shaped structure, as well as on the corner structure.

Can I bolt my removable pole to the floor and ceiling?

Yes, you can! All of our poles have bases at both the top and bottom, with 4 holes that allow the screws to be recessed and not exposed, preventing cuts. If your concern is safety, rest assured that our poles are 100% safe thanks to the Triple Lock Safety System. However, please note: even when bolted, the pole must first be installed under pressure and then bolted, so that the pole does not spin freely at the connections.I move homes frequently.

Which pole do you recommend?

If you frequently move to different homes, we recommend investing in a portable pole, since residential buildings in Brazil do not follow a standard ceiling height. This way, you won't risk losing the pole due to differences in ceiling height between properties.

Can the Chinese pole be made without the rubber coating?

Yes, we can make it without the rubber coating. The price is the same as the rubber-coated version.

Can I schedule my delivery?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to schedule delivery with the carrier. We therefore recommend tracking your shipment so you can plan accordingly and make sure someone is available at the address to receive the order. If the carrier attempts delivery and no one is available, they may charge a fee for another delivery attempt, which will be the customer's responsibility. If the delivery cannot be completed and the order is returned to Gaia Pole, a new shipping fee will be required to resend the order.

Is a pressure-mounted pole really safe?

Yes. When properly installed according to the instructions in the manual, the pole can exert up to 600 kg of pressure. As long as the maximum dynamic load of 120 kg is respected and the installation instructions are followed correctly, the pole is completely safe.I moved to a property with a lower ceiling.

Can I shorten my pole so I can keep using it?

If your pole is a two-piece model, yes! Simply purchase a height adjuster and provide the new ceiling height. We will also need the full name of the person who placed the original order or, if available, the original order number. If the pole is a single-piece model, this adjustment is not possible.

What is the difference between the V-shaped structure and the Corner Structure?

The V-shaped structure was designed to be used against a single wall, while the Corner Structure was designed to be installed in a corner, using two walls. Both have the same purpose and can only be used with fixed, bolted poles.

Does a pressure-mounted pole have height adjustment?

Yes! The pole has 10 cm of upward adjustment.

Does the portable pole create friction against the skin?

No. All components are manufactured using CNC machining, which guarantees precision down to hundredths of a millimeter. This provides a precise fit between the parts without creating a risk of injuring the practitioner's hands or skin.

My pole is spinning heavily. What should I do?

If the pole is difficult to spin, the most common cause is excessive pressure during installation. In this case, we recommend reinstalling the pole, checking its alignment and applying 1.5 turns of pressure to the shaft. This amount of pressure is enough to ensure a safe installation while allowing smoother spinning. It is also important to remember that pressure-installed poles do not spin freely with just a light touch, unlike bolted poles. This is a characteristic of this type of installation, since the pressure creates slight friction. During use, when you climb onto the pole, it should spin normally. If this is not happening, it is a strong indication that the pole was installed with excessive pressure.

My pressure-mounted pole is loosening during use. What should I do?

If the pole is loosening during use, it is likely that there is not enough pressure during installation. In this case, we recommend reinstalling the pole and applying a little more pressure to ensure proper fixation. If the problem continues even after this adjustment, please contact us so we can investigate other possible causes.

How do I measure for the Plaster Ceiling Extension?

You should measure the distance from the concrete slab to the end of your plaster ceiling. There are two options:

Option 1: Make a small hole where the pole will be installed so that you can reach the concrete slab and measure the distance between the slab and the plaster ceiling.

Option 2: Remove a light fixture in your home so you can see the concrete slab. This allows you to take the measurement through the existing opening for the light fixture.

Once you have this measurement, simply provide it on our website or to one of our sales representatives, and we will manufacture an extension suitable for your space.

How do I replace and use the portable pole extension?

You should replace the 10 cm section, which is the smallest one, with the extension. The sections should always be arranged from the largest to the smallest.I purchased your stage.

Do you sell the rubber-coated pole for the stage separately?

Yes, we do. You can purchase the pole separately on our website.

Does the plaster ceiling extension need to be bolted to the concrete slab?

Yes, it does.

Can I shorten my wall-to-wall structure?

Yes. You can take the structure to a metalworker and have it cut to the new measurement. A new hole must then be drilled in the structure to secure the movable section.

Can I bolt my pressure-mounted pole?

Yes. All of our poles have upper and lower bases with four holes that allow the screws to be recessed and not exposed, preventing cuts. If your concern is safety, rest assured: the pole features the Triple Lock Safety System.Important: For disassemblable poles, even when bolted, they must first be installed under pressure so that the pole does not spin freely at the connections.

My pole has a “spring effect” when spinning and feels heavy at a certain point. What should I do?

If the pole is unstable while spinning, the most common cause is misalignment during installation. We recommend reinstalling the pole and checking that it is perfectly vertical. Use a spirit level to verify this. In some environments, the floor and ceiling may not be completely parallel, which can also cause this issue. Proper alignment during installation is therefore essential for the pole to function correctly.

I already have the Stage. Do you sell only the Lollipop Lyra?

Yes, we sell the Lollipop Lyra separately.

I don't know which pole to buy. Can you help me?

Of course! If you intend to take the pole to different locations, the ideal option is the portable model, which can be used at different heights between 2 m and 3 m, or up to 3.4 m with an additional extension. If you intend to use the pole in the same location, the ideal option is a removable pole, custom-made for the space. In addition to pressure-installed models, we also offer fixed, bolted poles for customers who can drill into the floor and have a dedicated space for their pole dance practice.

The bearings on my pole broke. Do you sell replacement bearings separately?

Yes. However, replacement bearings sold separately are only compatible with Gaia poles purchased from 2026 onward.

The side screws on the safety lock won't go all the way in and the protective cap won't close. What should I do?

If the side screws on the safety lock do not go all the way in or the protective cap does not close, the screws are probably not properly aligned. Simply reposition the screws so that they are aligned with the machined (smooth) section of the shaft. After this adjustment, they should fit completely, allowing the protective cap to close.

Can I leave my pressure-mounted pole installed indefinitely?

Yes, you can leave the pole installed indefinitely. However, we recommend checking the pole's pressure before each practice session. Since metal can expand and contract slightly due to temperature changes, a small adjustment may occasionally be necessary to keep the installation safe.

Can I install and remove my pole every day?

Yes. Installing and removing the pole does not cause wear. The installation and removal system also allows you to lubricate the component, which is beneficial for pole maintenance.

Can I install my pole on carpet?

Yes. The pole can be installed on carpet, laminate, vinyl, hardwood flooring, or other types of floor coverings.

Can I install my pole on plaster, PVC, Styrofoam, or wood ceilings?

No. Pressure-mounted or bolted poles must be installed between two rigid and structural surfaces, such as a concrete slab or beam. A plaster ceiling by itself cannot support this type of installation. But don't worry: we have solutions for this type of environment.

Can I install my pole outdoors?

No. The pole has bearings and other components that cannot be exposed to water.

Can I hang a lyra from a wall-mounted support?

Yes! The wall-mounted support functions as a beam, so you can hang aerial apparatuses such as a lyra, aerial silks, or a flying pole. It is important to use only one aerial apparatus at a time.If you also have a pole dance pole installed on the support, it can be used simultaneously with an aerial apparatus because the forces exerted are opposite. Only one pole dance pole may be used per support.

Can I use pressure-mounted poles with the Corner and V-shaped Structures?

No. These structures can only be used with fixed poles bolted to the floor and the structure. They cannot be used with pressure-mounted poles.

What is the difference between removable poles with top and bottom installation?

The only difference is the installation method. The bottom-installation pole is more practical, does not require any additional equipment to install, and has a protective cap on the upper part of the threaded section, which is completely covered. The top-installation pole requires a ladder for installation and removal and does not have a protective cap, leaving the threaded section exposed. Other than that, the models are identical.

What is the maximum height for a pressure-mounted pole?

Our pressure-mounted poles can be installed at heights of up to 4 meters, which is the maximum height available on our website. If you need a larger size, we can also manufacture custom poles up to 4.5 meters. In this case, the price is different because we use tubes with thicker walls to ensure the safety and strength of the installation.

What is the maximum length of the Plaster Ceiling Extension?

The plaster ceiling extension can be a maximum of 50 cm long.

Which screw should I use to secure my pole?

Use a 5/16" x 50 mm hex-head self-tapping screw with a No. 10 mm plastic wall plug.

How much weight can the pole support?

All of our poles are designed to support up to 120 kg of dynamic load.I have a plaster ceiling and a drywall wall.

How do I install the hook for the Articulated Pole?

In these cases, we provide a longer hook so that it can be secured directly to the concrete slab. You will need to make one hole in the plaster ceiling for the extension and another hole for the hook.I have the Stage.

Can I purchase only the base and use my existing pole?

No. The pole used with the Stage is specifically designed for it. It is not possible to use a conventional pole, which is installed between the floor and ceiling, with the Stage.

If necessary, we can also schedule a video call to guide you in real time. In addition, all of our products come with a complete installation manual.

Should the sections of the portable poles spin relative to each other?

No. The sections should not spin relative to each other because the installation pressure creates enough friction between the connections to keep them stationary during use.

The intermediate sections don't lock. They keep spinning when I connect them. Is this normal?

The sections are simply fitted together. If they are spinning, it means that the pole does not have enough installation pressure.

Can I use the Plaster Ceiling Extension on a pole that is not from Gaia Pole?

No. The extension was specifically designed to be compatible with Gaia Pole products.

What material is the rubber-coated pole made of?

Our poles are made with nitrile rubber.

My pole is a single-piece model and I moved to a property with a higher ceiling. Can I use an extension?

No. Single-piece poles cannot use extensions. One option is to use the plaster ceiling extension to gain a few extra centimeters or use a wall-to-wall structure, allowing you to install the pole at the available height.

My pet urinated on the pole. What should I do?

In this case, penetrating oil will not solve the problem. The affected components must be replaced at the factory. Contact us to request an evaluation and replacement of the components. This is important because, over time, corrosion can cause one or more screws to seize or even break, compromising the safety of the equipment.

How do I clean the rubber-coated pole?

Clean it with a damp cloth. Do not use alcohol on the rubber, as alcohol can cause it to dry out.

Small oxidation spots have appeared on my pole. What can I do?

Oxidation can occur due to chemical exposure caused by the use of products such as disinfectants, for example. It is normally superficial oxidation that can be easily removed with white vinegar. It is important to always clean the pole after use, especially when using grip, as some products contain chemicals that can be corrosive. For cleaning, we recommend alcohol with a concentration above 90%, as lower concentrations contain too much water and do not clean the pole properly.

What should I use to clean my pole?

Use alcohol with a concentration above 90% and a clean microfiber cloth.

Can I wash my Stage?

You can clean the Stage with a slightly damp cloth and then dry it thoroughly. If there is sand or other particles, we recommend first using a soft-bristle brush to remove all the dirt. Then clean it with a damp cloth. For the stainless steel pole, use alcohol with a concentration above 90%, applying it with a clean, soft cloth.

Can I apply grease inside the pole?

Yes. You can purchase our maintenance kit for this purpose.

I received my Flying Pole and it looks rusty. What should I do?

This is not rust. What you are seeing is a chemical residue from the welding and bushing assembly process, resulting from a natural reaction involving the product used during this process.Due to the zinc coating treatment, a small amount of this residue may “leak” out. During assembly, our team thoroughly cleans the parts, but some residue may remain on certain components. You can simply clean the affected area. Once the residue is removed, the zinc coating will remain intact and continue to protect the equipment.I live in a rental property.

Do I need to drill into the floor or ceiling to install a pole?

No. All of our removable and portable poles are pressure-installed. Therefore, there is no need to drill into the ceiling or floor to install them.

Can the dimensions of the Portable Aerial Rig be customized?

At the moment, we do not manufacture custom-sized portable aerial rigs. Our model is available in 4-meter or 5-meter heights, according to our standard manufacturing specifications.

Can the Aerial Rig be made of stainless steel?

No. The structure is manufactured exclusively from carbon steel. We do not manufacture this equipment in stainless steel or other materials because the design was developed and tested to ensure safety using this material.

Does the payment use the entire credit card limit or only the amount of the monthly installment?

The total purchase amount uses the available credit limit on the card.

Which wall plugs and screws can I use to bolt my pole?

To bolt the pole to the ceiling and floor, use Ø10 mm wall plugs for brick and Ø5/16 x 50 mm hex-head self-tapping screws.

I lost the screws from the Triple Lock Safety System. What should I do?

You can purchase a stainless steel headless screw, M8 × 10 mm, at any hardware store.

The locking pin is stuck inside the base of my old Story pole. What should I do?

The cause is probably pole misalignment. Do not try to remove the pin by force. The solution is to reinstall the pole and check its alignment.

Can I install my pole in an open area?

Our poles have bearings and other components that cannot be exposed to the elements. For this reason, the pole must be stored after use.

What are the ceiling and floor requirements for installing a pressure-mounted pole?

Every Pole Dance pole requires a rigid floor and ceiling for installation. A solid surface is necessary to secure the pole, whether using bolts or pressure. If the ceiling is not rigid, we have structural solutions that use the walls to install the pole.

What is the diameter of the pole?

Our poles have a diameter of 44.5 mm, following the international standard.

What is the maximum possible height for a Pole Dance pole?

We work with the following maximum heights for each model:

  • Removable pole, pressure-installed: up to 4.5 meters.
  • Fixed, single-piece pole: up to 6 meters.
  • Track-mounted pole: up to 4.5 meters.

For poles over 4 meters high, there is an additional charge of R$300.00 per meter due to the structural reinforcement required to ensure installation safety.

What is the diameter of the pole base?

Both the bottom and top bases have a diameter of 14.5 cm.

What are the dimensions of the wall-to-wall support?

The height is 7.5 cm, and the length is custom-made.

Can I make my removable pole longer?

If your pole is a two-piece model, yes. You can purchase a height adjuster for your pole model and provide the measurement of your new ceiling height.

Can I make my Gaia portable pole taller?

Yes. You can purchase an extension for portable poles. The maximum height your pole can reach is 3.40 meters.

I have a Gaia pole and I'm moving. Do you buy it back or offer a trade-in discount?

We do not have a resale or trade-in policy, as the components cannot be reused.

I use 70% alcohol to clean my pole, but it remains slippery. What should I do?

70% alcohol contains approximately 30% water. Therefore, when you use it, some of the water remains on the surface of the pole. For better results, use alcohol with a concentration above 90%. Other factors can also affect grip, such as temperature, humidity, excessive sweating, and the use of body moisturizers. Therefore, it is important to consider all of these factors.

Do you make poles that don't need to be secured to the ceiling?

Yes. Our New Era Portable Stage is an option for anyone who does not want or cannot secure a Pole Dance pole to the ceiling.

Do you manufacture the Chinese pole in any size?

Yes! The Wall-to-Wall Track functions as a beam, allowing you to hang aerial apparatuses such as a lyra, aerial silks, or Flying Pole. It is important to use only one aerial apparatus at a time.If you also have a Pole Dance pole installed on the support, it can be used simultaneously with an aerial apparatus because the forces exerted are opposite. Only one Pole Dance pole may be used per support.

Do you sell only the Pole Dance track?

Yes! Please contact our support team to purchase it.

Can I combine a plaster ceiling extension with an aerial support to hang a lyra?

Yes, but the extension cannot exceed 50 cm in length and must be installed directly into a concrete beam, not into brick.

Can I combine a beam support with a plaster ceiling extension?

No. For this situation, a custom solution must be developed.

I would like to purchase a single-piece removable pole, but I saw that this option isn't available on the website. Do you manufacture it?

Yes. We manufacture single-piece removable poles by special order. The price is the same as the two-piece pole. However, we need to check whether shipping to your address is possible, as not all carriers accept products that are very long.

I sent my pole to a metalworker and now it isn't working properly. Can I make a warranty claim?

Products modified by third parties are no longer covered by the warranty. Even so, we will assist you as much as possible. Contact us and let us know what issue your pole is experiencing so we can guide you.

What is the difference between the Wall-to-Wall Support and the Wall-to-Wall Track?

The only difference is that the Wall-to-Wall Track has a track system that allows the Pole Dance pole to slide along the structure.
